What Causes Fast Heart Rate While Lying On The Left Side?

When I lay on my left side or back my heart rate speeds up. After several minutes it will slow down but its kind of scary. Laying on my right side does nto cause this. I am 63. I see a cardiologst once a year due to palpatations but they are benign I am told. I take 25mg atenonol daily.

HI
Thank for asking to HCM
I really appreciate your concern and looking to the question that is being asked by you about the tachycardia in my opinion this could be functional condition and no need to worry about this stop paying attention, if you are taking some drug for cardiac condition then this would be necessary to see the consultant on regular basis, take care and have a nice day.
