Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I woke up last night with horrible heartburn that just seemed to hit me in waves. This morning the heartburn was still there but after taking a Zantac it subsided. I checked my blood pressure earlier and it was 130/80 and my pulse was 110. I do suffer from panic attacks, so I am not sure if I am causing myself more stress or should go to the ER to get checked. Thanks for your help
Hello, thanks for a posting a question on our site. I understand you are concerned about your health, but there isn't need to worry. Your symptoms are common with that of panic attack. You do not need to go to the ER. Your blood pressure is normal and your pulse is just slightly elevated. These smptoms can be brought on by factors like sleeplessness, stress, caffeine etc. So I advise you to avoid stimulants like caffeine, tobacco. Involve in exercises like yoga, sleep 6-7 hours in a day and eat healthily. In a month ou should see significant changes. If you do not get relief, please see a physician for evaluation. Best regards
