Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 37 and have alot of anxiety problems. My resting heart rate is 85-100 bpm. I stopped working out about a year and a half ago and just started again 4 days ago. I did just have a stress test, ekg, and echo and all normal. How long should it take for my resting heart rate to lower itself naturally with working out everyday? I don't want to take the beta blocker.
Hello, sorry to hear of your ill health.Your resting heart rate is normal. Normal is between 60-100 bpm. You are clearly having issues with anxiety instead.Continuous exercise might reduce it over time, but a heart rate of 85-100 bpm poses no danger nor need any medication. Warm regards
