What Causes Fatigue Along With Excessive Sweating?

I m a 54 year old white overweight female. I currently had am a very low dose blood pressure bill, along with baby aspirin. I ve recently gone thru menopause and have been working with my OBGYN on some issues. Although I was in menopause, I still continued to bleed. At that point, my OBGYN took me off all harmone medicine I had been on to help with night sweats and other symptoms. I ve been having issues with night sweats and sleepless nights, but they have gotten worse in the last couple of weeks. Last night, I awoke with my body in sweat, and my entire head of hair wet with sweat. Felt a little weak then. I am home not doing much ,when I broke out in a sweat and felt a little weak. I checked my blood pressure and at first it was 145/89. I checked it 10 minutes later and it was 140/69. Still feeing very weak, but no pain anywhere. Still sweating pretty good while under a fan and drinking water. Suggestions??

Hi,

Well, The amount of sweat considered normal is quite variable and depends on the demands of the body.

Excessive sweating, also called hyperhidrosis, means that you sweat far more than your body needs you to sweat. For example, if you sweat while sitting calmly at your desk, that is excessive sweating.

In hyperhidrosis, the body's cooling mechanism is so overactive that it produces four or five times the amount of sweat that you need.

However, sometimes if sweating happens during the night or there is associated weight loss then it may indicate some more serious issues such as lymohima or hormonal imbalances.

In every case, if this persists you should see internist first to do some tests.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
