What Causes Fatigue Along With Pain In Lower Extremities?

My son in-law and my daughter traveled to Mexico -Puerto Vallarta the week of February 22nd, 2016. Since has been home his symptoms have been fatigue, stomach rash (this could be unrelated and due to sun), pain in Lower extremities which he describes as not muscular but deep down to bone, and deteriorating . Blood tests and X-rays taken yesterday 3/15/16 awaiting results. The pain is getting intense tonight and not sure if I would encourage them to wait this out or go to ED??? My daughter said he is in pain and shivering too.

I really appreciate your concern, most of the time it could be viral infection symptomatic medicine can be taken if needed else they have to be very patience because if it is the viral infection then may take some time for cure, condition need to be kept under observation for complication in emergency can go to ER hope this information helps.
