What Causes Fatigue Along With Shortness Of Breath And Dizziness?
Hi. I ve been diagnosed with A-fib, and had a pacemaker installed in Nov 2016 to offset the effects of the beta-blockers. My heart no longer races as it once did while in A-fib, but I still suffer the effects that I associated with the A fib. Fatigue, shortness of breath, lightheadedness, brain lacks function. Very rare does my pulse indicate other than a normal beat though I do have difficulty finding my pulse at times. Very weak. My chest does flutter, though not like it use to. Is it possible to still be having A-fib or Atrial Flutter and only feeling the crappy side effect. Just to clarify, the local pacemaker clinic indicates their readings indicate that I ve only been in A-fib once since Nov 2016.I m having a bad afternoon, sorry if it doesn t make sense.

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it is good news that most of the arrhythmia that you had are under control.
However, the list of symptoms can be due to other cardiac causes and needs evaluation on basis of echo cardiogram and if needed angiography as shortness of breath can be due to low cardiac function or ejection fraction or Ischemic causes which can also cause the cardiac arrhythmias in the first place. An electrophysiologist review and EP studies may also be needed. Wishing you a speedy recovery.
