Okay I have hashimoto thyroiditis. Recently I went to the doctor cause I ve been feeling tired and my hair is breaking off and falling out really bad. They did blood work said my levels were too high so they told me to skip a dose of my 75 mug a week. 2 months later went back for more blood work they said I wasn t getting enough now and upped my medicine to 88 mcg. I do not understand how any of this makes since since 75 was to much but now they put me on 88

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what you had been going through lately. Based on the history you have shared, it was good decision to up your thyroid medication as symptoms you mentioned can be due to insufficient thyroxine levels. Every six weeks thyroid profile can be repeated to titrate the dose accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
