General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Weakness is a very general symptom that may be caused by several conditions and is a common side effect of many medications including Lisinopril. On the other hand this does not mean that you are having weakness due to Lisinopril.

I would recommend you to have a visit with your doctor and have your blood pressure checked and your heart and lungs examined. He will do a thorough examination and possibly some blood tests as well like CBC, ERS, ALT, AST, creatinine and electrolytes, TSH, FT4, ECG, sugar and lipids levels, urinalysis and maybe a chest xray.

If all the tests come out normal then many conditions are ruled out and Lisinopril or stress/depression can be considered as the cause of the weakness.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Antoneta Zotaj, General & Family Physician
