Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi.I ve had a lifelong problem with exhaustion and concentration.I am able to work my factory job, but barely function. My house has not been cleaned ever.My power has been cut off twice because I forget to pay the bill.I m not depressed, just too tired to do anything.Exercise does not help.My doctor is at a loss.
Fatigue and poor concentration could be due to low iron levels in blood and anemia. Kindly check your blood for Compete Blood Count and Peripheral Smear Examination.
If you are found to have anemia, you need to be supplemented with iron through diet and medications. Along with it you also need to take hemopoietic vitamins namely Vitamin B6, Folic acid, and Vitamin B12.
Supplementation with protein in the form of powder mixed with milk taken twice daily would also be beneficial. Gradually, you should be able to overcome the problem.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ashakiran S,
General & Family Physician
