What Causes Fatigue And Scalp Sores While Suffering From High Blood Sugar?

I m diabetic and my blood sugar has been out of control for the last few months. I ve been ill and just too fatigued sometimes to watch my diet. Now I am developing scalp sores that I know I can attribute to a consistently high blood sugar. I also know the scalp lesions will disappear as soon as my blood sugar is consistently lower. Is there anything I can do in the meantime?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Uncontrolled diabetes can be associated with increased risk of infection and delayed healing as well.

As you mentioned, as you control improves, the infections would respond better to treatment

Cleaning the area with an antiseptic soap and applying topical antibiotics would help.
If there is no improvement then oral antibiotics may be needed.

I hope this helps
