Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fatigue, Night Sweats, Swollen Legs And Headache?
My friend has been having swelling, pain, fatigue, night sweats, headaches and cannot do her every day job or even a minor amount of activity without her legs, feet and arms swelling. She has been to the ER two times in the last few weeks due to the pain and they can t find anything with blood work. The one ER doc recommended a rheumatologist and she sees him in a couple weeks. They said they ruled out diabetes but I m not convinced. When I do research I find possible fibromyalgia, rheumatoid arthritis, or lupus. What do you recommend? Thank you.
Seeing a rheumatologist is a good option. These persons specialize in lupus, rheumatoid, scleroderma, vasculitis and a number of other rheumatological conditions.
Rheumatological diseases can cause fatigue, headaches as well as problems with muscles or joints.
Another option would be a hematologist to rule out a blood disorder as a cause of her symptoms.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
