What Causes Fatigue Post Typhoid?

I have had typhoid some days before. I took an IV antibiotic course of 10 days and did not have a fever since the day I started the antibiotics. But even after so many days, I am very tired all the time regardless of the amount of food I have or rest I take. What should I do?

Hi thanks for contacting HCM...

Noted you had typhoid fever before few days.
Now complain of fatigue...

In typhoid usually patient can feel fatigue for few days as in typhoid muscles also affected like sometime even Zenker's degeneration...

By fluid loss in diarrhea electrolyte imbalance can lead to fatigue...
So you can measure your electrolyte level and correct it accordingly....

Maintain hydration with more fruit juice.
Semisolid diet can be taken....
Egg protein , milk can be taken...
Avoid excess fried food...

Hope your concern solved.

Take care....
