What Causes Fatigue, Sluggishness, Mild Tension Headaches And Sensitivity To Cold?

Hi, For the past week, I ve been experiencing Fatique, Sluggishness, mild tension headaches, and sensitivity to cold. Something is not right at all, my body is trying to tell me something. I just feel uncomfortable. One other weird thing is my scalp is very sore on the left side of my head. Don t know if it s related to symptoms or not. Have an appointment scheduled with my Internist, but not until August 18. Really can t wait that long. Mrs. Hornes

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Certain investigations are required to know the exact cause of your symptoms.
I suggest you to get some basic investigations done: complete hemogram with peripheral blood examination, ESR and thyroid function test.
Anemia can lead to tiredness and sluggishness.
Under functioning thyroid (hypothyroidism) can cause anemia, sluggishness, tiredness, lack of concentration, etc so thyroid functions should be assessed.
Soreness of side of head could be due to giant cell arteritis. Giant cell arteritis is an inflammatory condition affecting the vessel wall. ESR will be raised in this condition, however, further tests are required to diagnose this condition.
On the other hand tension headache suggests some mass lesion in head.
A CT scan may be required to look for any mass lesion in brain.
I suggest you to consult your physician for clinical assessment, prescription of investigations and thus management.

Thanks and take care
