What Causes Fear Of Being Followed Or Tracked While Treating Parkinson’s Disease?

My friend has Parkinson s Disase. He is a 56 yr old African=American male. Lately he has become very paranoid. He will not stay in his brand new home, he has traveled all over the country convinced some white men are after & follow him where ever he goes. He thinks there is a tracker on his vehicle. He does not sleep good, has night terrors. Can this be symptoms of Parkinson s and is there any help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Psychosis (altered thinking and emotions with loss of reality) can occur in some persons with Parkinson's disease.

He would need to be seen if you can arrange for this to be done so that he can be treated for these symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
