Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fecal Impaction And Bleeding During Defecation?
I have constant stool blockage. A local doctor could not find any blockage. Stool softners do not work. my stools are big and solid and will not come out. In fact in resolutes in extreme pain and blood comes out. My email address is YYYY@YYYY
Big and solid stool that are difficult to come out are indicating constipation.
Should add more fiber to your daily menu to help ease bowel movement (bm). Psyllium or prunes fiber supplement can help.
Take lactulose to soften the stool. Senna supplement can help induce a bm. Apply prep H on your rectum each time you pass the stool to restore the normal mucosa.
Go to toilet each time you get the feeling, do not delay as this will make things worst. Increase fluids intake (especially plain water).
Get a colonoscopy done to understand what's the problem. If no organic issue, then, you should follow restricted liquid diet with lots of fiber as mentioned above.
Wish fast recovery.
