What Causes Fecal Incontinence When Diagnosed With Gastritis?

I have a 72 year old veteran with COPD he started sneezing three days ago and is bowel incontenent for the same period of time he spent 8 hours at the emergency room and he was diagnosed with gastritis. I do not believe that he is suffering from gastritis since he has none of the symptoms of gastritis.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to gastritis. Consult a gastroenterologist and get evaluated. Detailed evaluation is required to find out the exact cause. A colonoscopy will be useful.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
