What Causes Feeling Of Lump In Throat While Swallowing?

Hello, I am experiencing a lump like sensation feeling in my throat when I swallow. It almost feels as though I have something stuck in my throat even when I am not swallowing. I ve had some recent heart burn as well. It comes and goes but since Monday it s been more noticeable. Any thoughts on what this may be? Thank you,

Hello,
Welcome to hcm,
As u had recent heartburn it could be due to GERD, if u had any sorethroat recently then it could be because of pharyngitis also.I advice you to take antacids for a week and see. If the symptoms doesn't subside and if there is associated difficulty in swallowing then consult a doctor.

Thank you

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Difficulty in swallowing needs proper evaluation as obstruction could be in throat or esophagus.
Kindly get an upper GI endoscopy done to know what could be the reason for obstruction.
Accordingly you can take treatment from ENT specialist or Surgeon.
All the best.
