Cannot say for certain without an examination. Sometimes, there is something stuck in the back of the throat!! Mostly, it is an infection, but tumor, infection that needs draining, post-nasal drip, psychological problme are some of the other possibilities. Pins and needles paiin, pain that runs outward in a pathway (that a nerve follows) would generally be a pinched nerve. The area of the pinch is at the start of the nerve. If pain is from the upper arm to the fingers, then , the problem would be at the arm (if there were arm trauma in the past) or in the armpit (like with the arm being pulled or wrenched) or in the neck.
