The commonest causes I can think about are as follows: Problem may be in the lower part of Pharynx (throat) or in esophagus. The causes can be stricture meaning narrowing which can be benign or malignant mean cancerous. This can be well diagnosed by the following ways: Consult your Doctor for clinical examination, general examination, to assess the bad effect of your complaints on your body like weigh loss, anemia, hypo-protinemia and so on. And also to give you a referral slip for Gastroenterologist so that you can get upper GI Endoscopy and other investigations like Barium swallow, endoscopic biopsy, Endoscopic Ultrasound, CT scan of chest. Relevant tests of blood, urine and stool. All these will give the proper diagnosis as early as possible so that an appropriate management as per the cause found will be done for possible cure.
