Hi can you please help me . I have the feeling of something stuck in my throat for around 1 weeks now it goes and comes I have no pain and can swallow food fine, i just keep constantly swallowing but it does not work just very annoying, also a little worried. Can you tell me what this may be?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of feeling of something stuck in the throat which seems to be due to infection by bacteria and it could be due to acid reflux.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Avoid heavy and spicy food specially at night.
- Eat at least one hour before going to bed and take light walk after every meal.
- Do warm saline gargles on daily basis.
- Eat small and frequent meal and take antacid like gelusil.
Consult ENT specialist once for proper examination. Doctor may order throat swab test and blood tests to find exact diagnosis. Doctor may prescribe H2 blockers and proton pump inhibitor along with proper course of antibiotics.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
