What Causes Feeling Of Throat Obstruction?

Hi Doctor. I have been experiencing the feeling of throat obstruction for the past week. I look in the mirror with a flashlight and see a large orange patch in my pharynx and small orange bumps around it. I have no other symptoms that would indicate a cold or flu. My nymph nodes are normal and no cough. I am afraid that I might have oropharyngeal cancer. I am going to try to see a doctor tomorrow but since it could be a while before I can actually get a diagnosis.
