What Causes Feeling Tightness In Throat And Wheezing?

The past week I have noticed increased tightness in my throat and also wheezing that hasn t started from my lungs (diagnosed asthmatic). Generally I have a very open airway aside from the area below my uvula to the notch where my clavicle meets the neck. There feels like there is a pressure but no blockage, originally I thought it might be my asthma but no medication is working. It is not painful but extremely uncomfortable.

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history related to asthma, feeling of pressure in the upper airway.
There is tightness in the throat, and wheezing that has not started in the in the lungs.
This is a classical condition called tracheo-bronchitis that is giving you ht typical symptoms.
You need a proper clinical evaluation, investigations of X-ray of the chest to rule out any internal problem, pulmonary function test sand if required tracheo-bronchoscopy.
You also will need a proper antibiotic, proper anti-inflammatory medicines and oral steroids in tapering dosages.
Bead rest, proper humidification of the room air, no sudden changes in room temperature.
All this will aid in proper treatment.
