What Causes Feet And Ankle Swelling During Pregnancy?

I am 32 weeks pregnant and have had swelling in my feet and ankles everyday. Also I am only 5 ft and I feel that my baby doesn't have enough room. The doc knows about the swelling, I have also gained 33 lbs 9 of which were gained in two weeks. Can I request to have my baby at the end of July if I am due Aug 19TH ?

Hello,
I can understand your concern for your baby.
Coming to your question, i want to enlighten you that its not always that short stature women will have an early delivery and baby is growing in uterus, so it will expand as the baby grows. So in my opinion, you need not to ask for early delivery unless any complications arises.
Coming to swelling in feet and ankle, this can be due to increased BP or sometimes its normal. You just need to check your BP and sugar regularly and take few precautions like take proper bed rest, sleep in left lateral position, take healthy diet, avoid any heavy weight lifting, etc.
Hope this answers your question and let me know directly if you have any further queries, i will be obliged to guide you in right direction.
