What Causes Feet Pain, Knee Lump With An Enlarged Knee Cap?

Hi my neice has to have an mri due to enlarged knee cap which looks to be up higher than her other knee and a lump at back of her knee, doctor asked if she had a cough which she has. Xrays show no bone damage could it be tb of the bones complains of pain in her feet sometimes?
