What Causes Fever After A Knee Replacement Surgery?

My wife was operated (both knee replaced) on 9th May 2017. Since then, she had fever between 99-100.4, HB is 8-8.7 and ESR is 44. Please suggest me what should I do next as the Surgeon is saying nothing to worry it will be settled in due course. He only suggested medicines for HB only (Folic Acid etc.)

Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I reviewed your query and here is my advice.

The fever and elevated ESR may be sign of inflammation and it will settle down itself. You need folic acid and iron too.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
