General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

4-year-old being sent from school due to fever and probable infection by a bug as told by your Doctor, but development of puffy eyes indicate one of the following:
- Tonsillitis not yet cured off
- Viral infection
- Affection of kidney due to infection spread from tonsils and upper respiratory tract

Take your child again to the Doctor, preferably to a Pediatrician for clinical evaluation and have relevant investigations of blood, kidney and liver function and any other like for urine. Your son will get a prescription based antibiotic, symptomatic and supportive treatment. Continue treatment till cured.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
