What Causes Fever Along With Body Rashes And Oral Thrush?

Am concerned about my husband. Recently hospitalized for 22 days with ATP. Tretaed with Rituximab injections for past 4 weeks. Just got last injection last Friday. Blood being monitored week. Last platetelet count 178,000. For past day or so has had a fever (101) and slight cough. Tonight I noticed a rash on back, concentrated on area above waist, but some on other areas of back as well. Has also been treated for thrush with antibiotics and now is rinsing mouth every 6 hrs with Nystatin suspension. He is a 25+ year type 2 diabetic in good health until recently. Taking Lantus (32) and Humalog on sliding scale and sugar control is pretty good. Last A1C was 7.4. My doctor does have after hrs clinic Saturday mornings.

He may need to take corticosteroids.
