What Causes Fever Along With Chills, Sweating And Nausea?

i think it is the flu. for 7 days i have been very ill, no appetite, chills, fever, sweating, nausea, cough, head conjestion and just not feeling like doing anything at all, the first 5 days i had extreme muscle joint pain, but seem to be getting better. how long does it normally take to show improvement? This all came on all of a sudden.
