What Causes Fever Along With Chills, Vomiting And Body Ache?

I have onset of fever with chills, vomiting, and aches all over. I have a severe headache and have coughed up brown and green. I have a few cuts on each of my big toes and just finished taking cephalexin for 7 days, 2x a day at 500mg each. I can t keep any food down. This is my 3rd day of all these problems. I have also taken Zyrtec, Sudafed and Mucinex. My toes hurt so bad I can t wear shoes. I am 58 years old, female. I apologize for going from one problem to another. I also went to the ER when I closed the car door on my feet (accidentally). Any ideas? My doctor does not work weekends and will follow up with him on Tuesday but in the meantime, I am miserable.

Hello,

You seem to have a viral infection causing you chills, vomiting and aches all over the body. I would recommend you to take frequent small amounts of food and water during the day and rest as possible.
Metoclopramide 10 mg every 8 hours would be helpful for nausea and vomiting.
Paracetamol and ibuprofen can be used for the body aches.

If you are not better in 2-3 days or you notice any worsening please see your doctor.
