What Causes Fever Along With Sore Throat And Headache?
Good afternoon, just started back to school (high school counselor - 52) so thinking I ve picked up something from a student or colleague. Symptoms - fever (99.9 to just over 100), sore throat glands/neck, had a headache (but that s gone), muscle aches (general & feeling it in my eyes as I read), fatigue. Is there a virus going around metro DC?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of fever along with sore throat and headache which is because of viral infection and poor and compromised immunity of body. Need not to worry. I would advise you to do tepid sponging to avoid high fever. Visit general physician once and get complete examination done. Go for blood tests and sputum test as well. Do warm saline gargles on daily basis and drink plenty of fluids. Maintain proper oral hygiene. Take proper antiviral course and anti-inflammatory drugs such as Sinarest as well. Take diet rich in vitamin B12 to booster immunity. Avoid cold beverages.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
