What Causes Fever And Arm Ache After Receiving A Shingles Vaccination Shot?

Just curious...84 year old female, and was given a shingles and pnemonia vaccine yesterday. Late evening I started a fever, arm in pain. All I had was aspirin but the drug store instructions said not to take aspirin but something like ibupropren (sp). Why not aspirin?

Hello
Aspirin contains the chemical named salicylate, which may show some side effects when you take vaccination.
Some symptoms like drowsiness, confusion, seizures, coma may appear.
If you develop any of the symptoms then please consult your doctor.

Thanks
