What Causes Fever And Body Ache?

my husband woke up yesterday with body aching, he went to work for half a day and upon his return he went for a nap. When he woke up he had fever, so he took some advils. This morning he was shaking and trembling, when we took his temperature it was at 34.5. I waited 10 minutes and retook it again at which time it was at 35.5. I made him a warm tea and covered him with a few blankets. The shakes came to an end however he them had fever at 39. He had fever all morning until now where his temperature dropped again and he started shaking again. Is this normal? What should we do?

Hello.Your husband should be seen by a doctor to rule out infection (ear, pharynx, pneumonia ....). For now Acetaminophen 1000 mg and Ibuprofen 600 mg may be alternated every 4 hours for fever.
