General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

The bloating, gasses and pain are normal after a hysterectomy. Even though laparoscopic hysterectomy is more safe and less complicated your body needs time to get used to new conditions.

You may need up to six weeks to feel back to normal as your old self. Having chills and fever is not that normal. It can be a sign of infection. Your doctor may have given you antibiotics for prophylaxis of laparoscopic procedure.

Most probably you have an infection at operation site and may need to take antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka,
