Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic inflammatory disease and in that fever can occur. You might have uncontrolled rheumatoid arthritis and so by the release of inflammatory mediator fever can occur. You can be prescribed NSAIDs (Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) group of the drug for that.

If inflammation is more then a steroid course can be prescribed. Disease-modifying agents like methotrexate or hydroxychloroquine can be prescribed and biological agent are also useful. Your ESR, CBC, blood culture also needs to be done. Consult rheumatologist for examination and discuss all these.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Parth Goswami
