Hello,

Gastroenteritis causes inflammation which is the reason for increased body temperature as fever. You need to continue anti-inflammatory and antipyretic medicines (NSAIDs) to control both inflammation and fever. Paracetamol is one such most commonly used medicine to control both. There are other such over-the-counter (OTC) NSAIDs available.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Kalpesh
