What Causes Fever And Headache After Suffering A Leg Injury?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...son crashed on his bike, he's a college student, had an agave break in his front leg near shin it's very painful. Went to student health they lanced it and searched but couldn't get agave needle out. Being referred to surgeon. He now has fever and headache and worrying himself about septic shock! He's out of state and I need to ease his mind . Any suggestions
