My son just got his 4 year old immunization last Thursday tue afternoon he got a fever. He has a fever still .he also just got pink eye. The doctor checked for flu, that was negative. His fever varies between 100.5 and 102 until we give Motrin then it goes down. He also doesn t have normal appetite and he is tired and occasional hot and sometime chills.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

We will try to help you in best way possible. First of all it's sad to know what your son had been going through lately.

Based on the history you have shared, it can be due to conjunctivitis which he may have contracted recently and needs to be evaluated by a pediatrician and if needed an opthalmologist.

Meanwhile OTC analgesics like acetaminophen and antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Saddiq Ulabidin,
