What Causes Fever And Vaginal Pain After Child Birth?

My daughter has had a fever and body aches. This is her 3rd time with these symptoms and the first time they found nothing. They ran strep, flu, and urine samples and all came out negative. This second time she tested positive for strep and has been on antibiotics, but now since Thursday she has begun to run a fever again. She also had a baby 6 weeks ago and has complained about vaginal pain. Could it have something to do with the delivery?

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Fever and vaginal pain after childbirth is most likely due to post delivery sepsis or infection.
A vaginal swab examination and ultrasound should be done to confirm the diagnosis and further treatment and antibiotics should be given accordingly.
Ultrasound should be done to rule out any retained products of conception in the uterine cavity.
Hit thanks if you found the answer helpful.
