What Causes Fever And Vomiting Despite Taking Antibiotics For UTI?
Hello yesterday I went to the emergency room with a fever and pain in my low back left side. After blood test, CT scan and urine test. The doctor said I had a uti. I just got my antibiotics today however I still have a fever and this morning vomiting should I wait for the antibiotics or should I go back to the emergency room
Antibiotics generally take 24 - 48 hours to show that it is working. So give it some time. Also take some probiotics like lactobacilli , to prevent the nausea/ stomach upsets from antibiotics.
Drink 10-12 glasses of water a day. Pass urine at regular intervals. Drink a glass of tender coconut water or cranberry juice. Avoid sexual intercourse for a week or 2 .
If no improvements after 2 days of starting antibiotics, visit your doctor.
