Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns.

As per your complain fever blisters are caused by Herpes simplex Virus and in your case it is HSV 1 causes oral cold sores..
It is many a times preceded by cold and flu like symptoms..
I would suggest you to consult an Infectious Medicine Specialist and get evaluated and he can advise you to take antiviral medications like Oral intake of Acyclovir and topical application of antiviral medication like Valacyclovir [Valtrex] or Acyclovir for reducing the duration of illness as well as it can help in preventing the frequency of recurrences..
You can also take Tylenol to reduce fever and aches..
I would suggest you to avoid intimate contact with other individuals as herpes is communicable and can cause spread of the infection..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora.
