Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
What Causes Fever, Chest Congestion, Cough And Hoarseness?
Had fever only one day,I have chest congestion muscus light yellow when coughed up , throat raw runs down into chest feels raw when I cough ,hoarseness really bad in the morning and not as bad though the day but still hoarse ,been feeling bad like drained and week and sickness at stomach at times sinus just a little runny sometimes but is draining down back of throat..
Thanks for your query . As per your query you have symptoms of fever, chest congestion, cough and hoarseness which seems you are suffering from upper respiratory tract infection along with laryngitis which is reason for voice hoarseness.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to take steam inhalation twice daily and keep head side little high. You should consult pulmonologist once without any delay for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may order blood test along with throat swab test, because yellow mucus is sign of bacterial infection. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics , decongestants and mucolytic agent for thinning of mucus so that it can easily come out. Drink plenty of fluids.
Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
