What Causes Fever Cough And A Burning Sensation In Throat And Chest?

Hi I ran a fever last night of about 101.7. My chest and throat burn especially when I swallow heavy or cough. It feels like I have mucus below my throat, but I can't get anything to come up. Almost feels like its blocking my esaphegous until I cough again or clear my throat. Any ideas?
