What Causes Fever, Lethargy, Abdominal Pain And Dry Heaves In A Child?
eight year old grandaughter, several weeks ago had a week of fever of unknown origin believed viral, was very lethargic, last tuesday after eating chicken tenders with hot sauce, had abdominal pain and dry heaves, A few nights ago went to McDonalds had 2 chicken nuggets and felt nauseous and asked to go home and lie down. This morning before getting on the bus felt nauseous and had abdominal pain on both sides, just wanted to go lie down. unknown changes in bowel or bladder.

I don't believe that the hives passed 8 years ago can be related to nausea and vomiting she is experiencing now.
I think this situation is caused by gastric or inflammation of the stomach lining.
Taking PPI such omeprazole can help her.
