What Causes Fever, Recurrent Bowel Movement And Diarrhea?

Hi Doctor , my granddaughter has fever in her forehead ,but her hands and feet are very very cold , what cause , what should I can do , 2 days ago she has 8 time diararhia / day , when she sleep look like she breath from her stomach , please help Thank you

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your grand daughter have symptoms of fever, recurrent bowel movement and diarrhea which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis and electrolyte imbalance in body. It could be due to poor immunity and increased susceptibility of getting infected. Need not to worry. You should take few preventive measures such as :

- Avoid hot, sharp and spicy food.

- You should take banana on daily basis and light food.

- Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate body fluids.

I would suggest you not to panic at all. Visit pediatrician/ gastroenterologist once and get it examined and start treatment after prescription. You should start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole. You should get intravenous fluid administration as well.
