Hi Doctor, My wife had to undergo forced abortion last week as there was not heart beat for the fetus. It was her 19th week of pregnancy and doctor told fetus was not growing after 14th week. After abortion she is having fever for last 4-5 days, we have done Ultra Sound Scan and doctor told there is infection which has mildly affected kidney and given antebiotics. For the last two days she is feeling tingling in face and head. Please advice what is the reason for tingling, is there any cause for worry

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Simultaneous involvement of face and shoulder may be due to brain involvement and an imaging of brain is required. If both these symptoms are occurring independently, then possibility of cervical radiculopathy and trigeminal neuralgia should be kept. Examination by a neurologist will be helpful.

Hope you found the answer helpful. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
