What Causes Fever While Having Elevated Liver Enzyme Levels?
I had dark urine and went to the ER. No urinary infection, but high liver enzymes. My dr. ordered an abdominal ultrasound and they found gallstones. A fellow up blood test days later showed a slight decrease. I have had a low grade fever. I have been taking narproxen for 7 months now. I just had another blood test today to check my level and for any genetic liver disease. The dr. said that if it is the narproxen, it may take awhile. No hep. B or C. Just don t understand the low grade fever. Can the elevated levels cause a fever.
Get physically examined by a Gastroenterologist, get CBC, Urinalysis, repeat Liver function tests, USG & CT (if required) done. Get treated & get the gall stones removed by surgery before they complicate into worse symptoms.
Your treatment will depend upon the severity of the disease diagnosed. In the meantime take homemade boiled food, stay away from addictions & take adequate sleep.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
