What Causes Fever While Suffering From Upper Respiratory Tract Infection?

I don t know what s wrong with me. I ve been to the doctor already and she said I have an upper respiratory infection.. she said I didn t have flu or strep. and she put me on a bunch of medicine. She also said I didn t have a fever.. im back home and now running a fever of 101.4, im extremely cold to the point it makes me cry and it s 73 in our house (I have on sweatpants, hoodie, house coat, and 3 blankets on my bed) I m also have aches all over and a SEVERE headache for 3 days now.. it hurts when I look up, or move around..and nothing is helping me feel any better.
