What Causes Fever With A Normal Test Result?

hi doctor my husband is suffering from high fever from last 3 days , we got the test done yesterday his tlc is only concern area its 2300 and other things like malaria/platlat count are ok.... he is having body pain and headache and fever is shouting up to 104...pls suggest he is taking crocin 650mg /pan 40/cerfrixim as suggested by doc today is the 4th day but not much imprvment is their



age -30, weight -60, otherwise no other diease

Hi,
I have read your query & understand your concern.
* As your doctor has not diagnosed,infection is out of question. high grade fevers due to viral origin do not respond to antibiotics & subside in 5-7 days time. Widal test for typhoid is done after 7 days of fever.
* The TLC you have mentioned is at a lower side than normal.It needs to be repeated again along with DLC.& periferal smear to confirm normality of the cells.
* In case, the fever is not controlled in 5 days/ if the repeat blood test shows low TLC- I would advice for immediate consultation of a physician.
Till then, continue the medicines strictly at the advised .
Let him take rest,
give nutritive/easy to digest/non spicy food ( soups,juices,boiled rice,potato etc.)
sufficient water should be taken.
