What Causes Fever With Pharyngeal Irritation And Redness?

hello. my daughter 7yrs has 103 F fever, continous, since yesterday, with slight cough, pharyngeal irritation and redness, pain in abdomen, thirst for water and fever is with chilliness. pulse is around 130-140/ min and respiratory rate is about 30/ min. Appetite is poor. stool passed, clear and urine is also clear. what should i do....? please suggest.

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have fever with pharyngeal irritation and redness which is probably due to viral infection which is lowering down your immunity and making you prone for infection. It could be due to granular pharyngitis due to upper respiratory tract infection. I would suggest you to take combination of antiviral drug along with anti-inflammatory drug. Take nimuslide along with paracetamol as well. Your symptoms will resolve in 4-5 days. If symptoms keeps on persisting visit ENT specialist once and get some routine blood investigation done. Take diet rich in multivitamins. Drink plenty of water. Take hot milk rich in turmeric as it will booster immunity. Apply wet cold sheets on your head to lower down body temperature. Avoid hot, spicy and sharp food substances. Take diet rich in multivitamins and vitamin C.
