What Causes Fever,cough And Ringing Sensation In Left Ear?

I m just getting over a virus with fever, cough, aches and pains over the last week. My left ear feels stopped up and is ringing loudly (I do have tinnitus in that ear but this is different, very loud) and my head feels very full as though it is full of mucus. But there isn t any mucus. My sinuses are clear. I still have somewhat of a cough for which I m taking Mucinex DM. Otherwise I m just taking it easy so I won t have a relapse as others have had with this. Please tell me why my head feels full and ear is stopped up and what I can do about it. Hi dear!

You have got Pharyngitis leading to middle ear infection. Thats why your head is full, your symptoms are due to all of this. You need antibiotics for that and antipyretics(for fever). I prescribe to my patients at my clinic Capsule Amoxicillin500mg twice for 7days. Tablet Ibuprofen800mg twice daily for 5days. Tablet Fexet-D 1 daily for 5days.
